Nasarawa State Government Reiterates Commitment To Youth-Friendly Programmes -Akabe

The deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, says the government will continue to come up with programmes that will benefit the youths in all relevant sectors.


He said in Akwanga on Wednesday that Governor Abdullahi A. Sule-led administration could not afford to neglect or toy with the future of youths in the state. 


Akabe made the assertion while declaring open a leadership retreat and inauguration of local government and development area officials of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN). 


“Government will always provide a platform for youths to explore their potential.


“That is why it is encouraging them to be resourceful for their general wellbeing and overall development of the state,” the deputy governor said. 


He appreciated the youth for their support to the present administration, saying as a youth- friendly government, every necessary thing would be taken to improve their lots.


The deputy governor urged officials of the youth council in the state to be exemplary in leadership. 


In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Vice Chancellor, ANAN University Kwall, Plateau, Prof. Musa Fodio, said “to build the youths is to build the nation”.


Speaking on the essence of the leadership retreat, the state Chairman of NYCN, Mr Ja’afar Loko, noted that apart from orienting the newly elected local chapter officials, it was with a view to chatting a new course for the development of youths in the state. 


Loko explained that the training programme would expose participants to the rudiments of the council’s activities and business of governance.


On his part, the Chairman, Akwanga Local Government Area, Mr Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, commended the youth in the state for their support to the government.

SAD DAY: Tears Flow As Late Gospel Singer Osinachi’s Body Arrive for Burial

The family of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu have been thrown into mourning again as they received her remains. About two months after her demise, the remains of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu have arrived for interment in Abia state, The Nation reports. The singer’s body was received in her hometown in Amakpoke Umuaku community, Abia around 12:00pm. It was reported that Osinachi, who sang the popular song ‘Ekwueme’ died on Friday, April 8, 2022. Prior to the final internment on Saturday, a night of worship was held in Abuja on Thursday, June 23 while a Night of Prayer was also held in Isochi, Umunoci in Abia state yesterday, June 24.

Pastors Hypnotise 77 Worshippers, Including 23 Children, Keep Them in Church Dungeon For The Coming of Jesus in September.

77 worshippers, including 23 children of The Whole Believers Bible Church, Ondo, Ondo State, allegedly hypnotised by their pastors, have been rescued by police detectives.
