As part of his commitment to tackle insecurity headlong and flush out criminal elements in Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule on Wednesday donated 42, Vehicles to security agencies and traditional rulers to complement their efforts.
Speaking while handing over the vehicles to security agencies and traditional rulers, governor Abdullahi Sule said the plan was to enable security agencies vigorously carry out the routine operation in the state.
Sule said recently the state was informed about a possible attack by some criminal element, but the government acted on the information and shut down schools across the state as part of the plan to curtail the possible attack on both public and private schools in the state.
According to him, "recently we have had so many cover operation by the security agencies, vigilante, our hunters and the good people of various communities help our security agencies we just concluded operation in Awe local government area and we are going to commence operation in order places.
“We are going to continue to work with security agencies in most of these areas. We thank security agencies and traditional rulers for their continued support because no of this operation is carried out without the knowledge of traditional rulers, religious leaders and communities leaders,”
He also said that the donation of these vehicles was part of his administration’s promise to support security operations in the state.
