Alleged plot to sack Keyamo as APC campaign council spokesman is fake news - Presidency

The presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Monday described the online report that President Mohammadu Buhari should remove the Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo SAN, as spokesmen of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign council as fake news.

In reacting to the report, an online newspaper, the presidential spokesman, Mallam Shehu, stressed that the unfounded report was part of conspiracy theories being hatched by detractors to defame the ruling party.

According to him, both President Mohammadu Buhari and the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu, are happy with the job Keyamo is doing, and with the general setup of the impending campaign, which has already become an example to other parties.

"We are aware that conspiracy theories are being hatched with a ripple effect our party leaders and hold back the campaign. Supporters of our candidate should not pay attention to "news" from these fountains of false narratives".
